AGC Heat Transfer, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Alfa Laval, AB, is the leading OEM of sanitary plate heat exchangers in North America, manufacturing plate heat exchangers specifically designed for sanitary applications. AGC offers complete heat exchangers, services as well as upgrades to plate packs, gaskets and spares that fit multiple brands. In addition, AGC offers Field Leak Testing and inspections of plate heat exchangers that meet the 3-A sanitary standard.
AGC Heat Transfer consists of three manufacturing/service facilities (Bristow, VA, Fairview, OR & Pleasant Prairie, WI) with about 117 employees (70 OR / 20 VA / 20 other locations). Currently, most of the sales are in the US & Canada. AGC Heat Transfer has a strong engineering culture with a heavy emphasis on customer service and technical/consultative sales.

The Materials Control Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring materials, parts, and finished goods move efficiently through the facility. This position is a key member of the logistics team and combines shipping & receiving responsibilities with production and inventory support, helping maintain accuracy, flow, and organization across departments. The position involves regular use of material handling equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, dollies) as well as data entry and retrieval.

Position Responsibilities
Kitting
- Ensures production is fully supported by identifying and gathering parts for assembly based on pick list.
- Gather, verify, and prepare parts and materials for assembly and production based on pick lists and work orders.
- Organize and deliver kitted materials to production areas in a timely manner.
- Identify inventory shortages or discrepancies and promptly report them to the supervisor.
- Ensure live parts are moved through the plant quickly to avoid production delays.
- Read and interpret drawings and blueprints to verify correct parts.
- Perform basic inspection of parts to ensure accuracy before delivery.
Shipping & Receiving Support
- Receive, unload, and check incoming materials against packing slips and purchase orders.
- Process return shipments and handle documentation as required.
- Prepare outgoing shipments, including packing, labeling, and generating required documentation.
- Inspect incoming shipments for damage or defects and report issues to supervisor and/or purchasing.
- Sort, count, package, label, unpack, and log inventory in the ERP system.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and dollies to move and stage materials safely.
- Deliver parts and materials to production areas in a timely and organized manner. Support continuous improvement initiatives within the department.
- Stock shelves, maintain organized inventory locations, and perform cycle counts.
- Support logistics team with general warehouse tasks to ensure smooth operations.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by supervisor.

- Goal oriented driving to positive results.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in manufacturing, warehousing, or material handling
- Forklift certification or ability to become certified (Class 3 and Class 4 equipment)
- Basic computer skills; ERP experience preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and pick lists.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain quality and accuracy under time pressure
- Ability to perform basic math, count accurately, and follow written and verbal instructions
- Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds regularly
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Must be able to read, write and speak English.
- Must wear all PPE.
- Previous manufacturing experience is a must
