Department: Logistics / Production Support
Schedule: Second Shift (4x10‑hour days after training)
Pay: $24/hr during training → $26.40/hr with 10% shift differential once on swing shift
Status: Full-Time, Non‑Exempt

What You’ll Do (Your Impact)

As a Production Kitter, you’re the engine that keeps our manufacturing operations moving. You’ll gather, prepare, and organize the parts and materials that assemblers rely on to build our heat exchangers. You’ll ensure accuracy, quality, and timely delivery—keeping production on track and customers satisfied.

You will:
  • Pick, identify, and prepare production parts based on schedules, pick lists, and bills of materials
  • Read drawings and basic blueprints to confirm correct components
  • Assemble material kits for frames, plate packs, gaskets, and more
  • Deliver completed kits to production areas efficiently
  • Use pallet jacks and forklifts (we’ll train you!)
  • Verify part numbers, quantities, and quality
  • Maintain accurate ERP/inventory records
  • Report any shortages, discrepancies, or damaged materials
  • Keep your area clean and organized following 5S principles
  • Collaborate closely with production, quality, and inventory teams
  • Perform other duties that help keep the operation running smoothly

Who We’re Looking For
You’re someone who takes pride in doing things the right way—accurately, safely, and with a team mindset.

Required:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ year experience in manufacturing, warehousing, or material handling
  • Ability to read pick lists, drawings, and basic blueprints
  • Strong attention to detail and basic math skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stay active throughout the shift
 
  • Dependable attendance and solid communication
  • English reading, writing, and speaking skills
Preferred:
  • Prior kitting, inventory, or material handling experience
  • Forklift/pallet jack experience (or willingness to learn!)
  • Familiarity with ERP systems
  • Experience in lean or 5S environments

Work Environment
You’ll be working hands‑on inside a manufacturing facility producing sanitary stainless‑steel equipment.  Expect a fast‑paced, detail‑oriented environment with exposure to moving equipment, noise, and temperature variations. PPE is required and provided.

Physical Requirements
  • Standing and walking for extended periods
  • Bending, reaching, twisting, lifting up to 50 lbs
  • Frequent handling and sorting of materials
  • Visual inspection and basic computer use
  • Safe operation of pallet jacks/forklifts (training provided)
