AGC Heat Transfer, Inc. is the leading OEM of sanitary plate heat exchangers in North America, manufacturing plate heat exchangers specifically designed for sanitary applications. AGC offers complete heat exchangers, services as well as upgrades to plate packs, gaskets and spares that fit multiple brands.  In addition, AGC offers Field Leak Testing and inspections of plate heat exchangers that meet the 3-A sanitary standard.
 
AGC Heat Transfer consists of three manufacturing/service facilities (Bristow, VA, Fairview, OR & Pleasant Prairie, WI, Fort Worth, TX) with about 125 employees (77 OR / 20 VA / 28 other locations).  Currently, most of the sales are in the US & Canada.   AGC Heat Transfer has a strong engineering culture with a heavy emphasis on customer service and technical/consultative sales.

Job Description

The Production Support Associate supports production by accurately collecting, preparing, and delivering parts and materials based on pick lists and work orders in our Fairview, Oregon manufacturing plant. This role is a key member of the logistics team and is responsible for ensuring that live parts move through the plant efficiently to meet production deadlines. The position involves regular use of material handling equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, dollies) as well as data entry and retrieval.

Position Responsibilities
Kitting
  • Ensures production is fully supported by identifying and gathering parts for assembly based on pick list.
  • Gather, verify, and prepare parts and materials for assembly and production based on pick lists and work orders.
  • Organize and deliver kitted materials to production areas in a timely manner.
  • Identify inventory shortages or discrepancies and promptly report them to the supervisor.
  • Ensure live parts are moved through the plant quickly to avoid production delays.
  • Read and interpret drawings and blueprints to verify correct parts.
  • Perform basic inspection of parts to ensure accuracy before delivery.
Shipping & Receiving
  • Receive, unload, and check incoming materials against packing slips and purchase orders.
  • Process return shipments and handle documentation as required.
  • Inspect incoming shipments for damage or defects and report issues to supervisor and/or purchasing.
  • Sort, count, package, label, unpack, and log inventory in the ERP system.
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and dollies to move and stage materials safely.
Other Duties
  • Maintain compliance with all company safety policies and OSHA standards.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within the department.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by supervisor.

Skills & Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in manufacturing, warehousing, or material handling.  Previous manufacturing experience is required.
  • Forklift certification or ability to become certified (Class 3 and Class 4 equipment).
  • Basic computer skills: ERP experience preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and pick lists.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain quality and accuracy under time pressure.
  • Ability to perform basic math, count accurately, and follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to read, write and speak English required
Physical Requirements & Work Environment
Physical Demands
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time throughout the warehouse and production areas.
  • Regularly required to reach, bend, stoop, kneel, and climb short ladders or steps when accessing racking, bins, and storage areas.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull inventory items and materials up to 40 lbs. on a regular basis; occasional lifting up to 50 lbs. may be required.
  • Frequent use of hands and arms for handling, organizing, labeling, scanning, and counting parts and materials.
  • Ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment (training provided if not certified).
  • Visual acuity is needed to read labels, verify part numbers, check documentation, and work within ERP systems.
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks associated with cycle counts, inventory audits, and bin/location maintenance.
Work Environment
  • Work performed primarily in a warehouse and manufacturing environment with exposure to moving equipment, machinery, temperature fluctuations, and moderate noise levels.
  • Occasional work in outdoor or semi‑exposed areas when accessing secondary storage or assisting with shipments.
  • Must follow all AGC safety procedures, including wearing required PPE (such as safety glasses, gloves, and steel-toe shoes).

Wage
  • $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
